Feedback from a first-time user

I posted a link to FeedsAnywhere on another site and I got this reply (the user assumed I was its developer). I don't agree with everything he said but I thought that you might like reading his feedback (since people are not coming to the forum yet).

Since most people won't create an account for it before trying it, I think you should place your "Feature Tour" and "test drive" links somewhere more visible on the page.
Also, you may want to change the glossy "settings" and ">" icons from the feed view. I don't think they really fit with the rest of the design. Make it even more minimal.
You should align your logo to the left, and the menu to the right.
The lack of username/password textboxes on the home page is also annoying.

We made a few changes based on the feedback and added a login box to the front page. The feature tour and test drive links are more visible now too.

Thanks for passing along the feedback. The design aspect reinforces that people really care about looks even though people don't usually agree on what looks good.

FYI. We put the logo and menu in the center because this design scaled better across screen sizes.

At one point we had a login box directly on the home page, but removed it for some reason. Maybe we should revisit that decision.
